The Industrial Training Division of Kaduna Polytechnic has issued a notification regarding changes to the Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) calendar for the year 2025.

In a letter signed by the Coordinator, I.T.D, Engr. Abubakar Muhammad Ahmadu, and addressed to various organizations, the polytechnic informed stakeholders that the Academic Planning Division has adjusted the SIWES commencement date for eligible students. The new schedule sets the start date for January 12, 2026, with the program running until May 1, 2026.

The notification also expressed concern over reports that many students who had been accepted for SIWES attachments have not received confirmation from their host organizations. The polytechnic appealed to organizations to expedite the process of notifying students about their acceptance status.

Furthermore, the polytechnic requested the cooperation of organizations in accommodating their students for the SIWES program, scheduled to begin on January 12, 2026. This, they noted, would enable students to undertake their industrial training and enhance their understanding of their respective fields.

The affected students include those in NCE, ODFel, B (Tech) Ed regular and evening programs, who were initially expected to start their SIWES between October 13, 2025, and December 12, 2025.

The polytechnic urged organizations and the public to take note of the new schedule and to support the students during this period.
