The Kpop Ham Dr, Danladi Jonathan Gyet Maude, OON was last week dissolved the former Ham Community Development Association-HAMCDA management committee & also inaugurated the new management caretaker committee.
Speaking during the new management committee inauguration which took place in his palace in Kwoi, the paramount monarch of Hamland declared that:
“I have followed the developments & operations of the Hamda Development Association (HAMCDA), the umbrella association of the Ham community from its inception since 2008 to date.
I have come to realize that the recent development in the operation of HAMCDA & the resultant misunderstanding are traceable to the gaps & weakness inherent in the constitution governing the association.
With a view to forster harmony, unity & orderliness, I have found it necessary to direct that urgent steps be taken to close the observable gaps & weakness in the HAMCDA constitution.
To this end, I made the following declarations”:
(1) The tenure of the management committee, that is, the National Executive Committee has expired, & its membership here by stands dissolved.
(2) Pending the review of the HAMCDA constitution, its use in the affairs of the Ham community is here by temporarily suspended.
(3) A caretaker committee is, here by, appointed with the following membership:
*Dr. Gideon Parah Mallam (Chairman)
*Dr. Joseph Gyuro (Member)
*Hon. Phoebe Sukai (Member)
*Mr. Austin .I Gadzama (Secretary)
*Barr. Jacob Maigari Nalaya (Member)
(4) The mandate of the caretaker committee is to:
(a) Review the current constitution to bring it up to date with current realities to strengthen corporate existence of the Ham community.
(b) Recommend names to update the composition of the membership of the Board Of Trustee.
(c) Organize & conduct a credible election after the review of the constitution.
(d) The above are to be submitted to the Royal Majesty, Dr. Danladi Jonathan Gyet Maude, OON for consideration & approval.
(5) The duration of the caretaker committee is ninety (90) days from the date of its inauguration.
