President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on the occasion of his 68th birthday.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu joined Jonathan’s family, friends, and political associates in celebrating the former leader, acknowledging his notable contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development.

President Tinubu praised Dr. Jonathan’s trademark simplicity and humility, recalling how his exemplary statesmanship during the 2015 presidential election elevated Nigeria’s global democratic reputation. He further reflected on their past interactions, noting Jonathan’s support and the counsel that shaped key political moments in 2010 and the 2011 presidential election.

The President also commended Jonathan’s continued service on the international stage, especially his diplomatic engagements across Africa in promoting democratic values and political stability.

President Tinubu prayed for the continued well-being of Dr. Jonathan, his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, and the entire Jonathan family.
