This is contained in a press statement made available to newsmen in Katsina by the Public Relations Officer of the Authority, Abubakar Marwana Kofar Sauri.

According to the statement, the Director General of the Authority, Major Garba Yahaya Rimi (rtd), gave the assurance during an interactive session with stakeholders held in Funtua, organized by the Funtua Patriotic Foundation with the aim of resolving some challenges between the Authority and members of the public.

Major Rimi explained that KASSAROTA was established to ensure road safety, protect lives and properties, and promote discipline among road users. He assured the public that the Authority is doing everything possible to minimize road accidents and enhance safety across the State.

The Director General appreciated the unwavering support and cooperation of the State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda (PhD), towards strengthening the operations of the Authority.

Also speaking, the State Commandant of KASSAROTA, Alhaji Dahiru Mani Bagiwa, reaffirmed the Authority’s readiness to ensure full compliance with traffic rules and regulations on all public roads.

In his remarks, the Secretary of KASSAROTA, Aminu Lawal Batsari, said the Authority will review all complaints and feedback received from various groups with a view to addressing the identified challenges. He further stated that KASSAROTA is working on introducing new operational strategies that will ensure better service delivery to the satisfaction of both the Authority and the general public.

Aminu Lawal Batsari also commended the people of Funtua Local Government, the leadership of transport unions, and security agencies in the area for their cooperation and commitment to improving road safety.

Earlier, the Chairman of Funtua Local Government, Alhaji Abdulmutallib Sulaiman Goya, represented by the Director of Education and Social Development, Sulaiman Hassan Danja, assured continued support and collaboration with KASSAROTA to enable it achieve its mandate.

On his part, the Director General of the Funtua Patriotic Foundation, Aminu Lawal, said the interactive session was aimed at strengthening the cordial relationship and understanding between the public and the Authority.

Others who spoke during the event include the representative of Sarkin Maska District Head of Funtua, Alhaji Sambo Idris Sambo, as well as other dignitaries such as the Secretary and PRO of KASSAROTA, Funtua Zonal Commandant, officials of NURTW, NARTO, ACCOMOROS, and traders’ associations among others.
