SOKAPU CONDEMNS THE GRUESOME KILLING OF EIGHT PEOPLE WITH MANY INJURED AT WAKEH AND GADANAJI, KACHIA LGA
The southern Kaduna Peoples’ United-Associations (SOKAPU) is alarmingly displeased over the recent attack at wakeh and Gadabaji communities of Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
SOKAPU under the leadership of Comrade Tabara Samuel Kato vehemently condemn
the gruesome killing of eight innocent people and others injured by unknown gunmen who stormed the village in the early hours on Sunday 07/09/2025 .
This worrisome and unfortunate incident occurred between the early hours of Sunday 7th September 2025. As at the time of filing out this report, the reason behind this attack and gruesome killing of these eight innocent people is yet to be known.
It is rather disheartening and unfortunate that some disgruntled and criminally minded people are bent on reversing the good works of the security personnel of the country, who having assiduously worked hard to mitigate the insecurity in Kaduna State and Nigeria generally, for which we have experienced some respite.
We implore the Kaduna State and Federal governments to deploy every apparatus of intelligence to unravel the motives and sponsors of this very attack which aim without doubts, is to replapse the state of security in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
We remain confident that the government is ever determined to make insecurity a thing of the past in Kaduna state and Nigeria in general.
The recent blanket Engagement Order by the Chief of Defense Staff Gen. C.G. Musa, to the armed forces is a sure step to neutralise the criminals and secure communities. We need the presence of more troupes equipped with all the necessary instruments of military actions in vulnerable communities of Southern Kaduna.
The National Assembly should begin to enact laws that will permit Nigerians to lawfully possess rifles with ammunitions, in the category of AK47 for their first line of defense before the arrival of government security agencies. This is necessary because the criminals enjoy easy access to military grade weapons including anti aircraft guns, and the military cannot be every where at the same time. Otherwise, if this trend of criminality continues, it’s only a matter of time that criminals will overrun the government! This is the surest way to eliminate this insecurity in Kaduna state and Nigeria at large. Countries with such laws never disintegrated, appling same to Nigeria will not make Nigeria disintegrate but better secured.

And the following people sustained various degrees of injuries, and are presently receiving medical treatment in hospital:

3.Sunday Nuhu.
4.Gideon Pius.
5.Gregory Moses.
6.Livinus Gabriel.
7.Godday Clement.
8.Ishaya Elisha.
9.Mrs.Godday Clement.
We are praying that God consoles the families of those who lost their beloved ones and grant quick healings to the injured others.
We call on all people to be more vigilant and monitor every suspicious movements of strange person(s) around their communities and report such to the appropriate authorities for necessary actions.
