I received with deep sadness the report of the attack on Zonkwa Police Division, headquarters of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, which tragically claimed the lives of two gallant police officers. This criminal assault on our security agencies is wicked, barbaric, reprehensible, and stands utterly condemned.

Most disturbing is the dangerous affront on the lives of our police officers and security personnel who, day after day, endure the most difficult and excruciating circumstances in their commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians.

I am pained by this dastardly act and urge our security agencies to deploy every available resource to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they are brought to justice without delay.

My deepest condolences go to the families of the deceased officers, as well as to the entire Police Force. I pray that God grants the departed officers eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

I call on residents of Zonkwa and its environs to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative as security agencies intensify efforts to track down the criminals responsible and make them face the full wrath of the law.
