I wish to register my debt of gratitude for the comments, telephone calls and condolence visits, from members of this family, on the death of my mother last Thursday.
The words of encouragement and visits, provided the compass that guided me through the most turbulent days of my life.
Yes, I lost my father at 16 and waded through life almost rudderless, eking out a living, making mistakes and correcting them as I plodded through life.
However, the loss of my mother, as a fully grown adult, left me marooned in a sea of confusion, despair and helplessness.
The Yoruba proverb that described a mother as gold is apt—-a mother is the more precious parent!
Please continue put my mother in prayers as you pray for yours.
May Allah(SWT) reward you abundantly. Thank you.
