Return To God For Healing, Restoration Of Land- HamDA Urges Members

Ham sons and daughters have been called to return to true and sincere worship of the Almighty God for Him to restore them to their rightful position.
This is part of a consensus reached by participants at a prayer summit organized by the Ham Community Development Association (HAMCDA) in Kaduna State today.
The prayer summit which had a theme: Lord, heal our land, had various top dignitaries in attendance.
Speaking exclusively to Kabido Newspaper at the event, the immediate past administrator of Kafanchan Metropolitan Authority, Mrs Phoebe Sukai Yayi, said that the prayer summit is timely as there is a great need not just for the Ham people but every Nigerian to pray for the nation to achieve it full potentials.
She added that the Ham people trust in divine intervention, hence the need for all its sons and daughters to draw closer to God to shower his blessings on them.
“We must move together as one but we must come with a clean heart.
On the challenges she faced as the administrator of Kafanchan municipal authority, Mrs Yayi said that funding was one of the major problems she face.
Speaking on the performance of the present administration of Gov Uba Sani, she said that ” the present administration is doing well in Kaduna State. Grassroot mobilization of this administration is commendable.”
She said that Gov Uba Sani had proven that he’s the people’s governor.
Also speaking, the Chairman HamDA Kaduna State, Mr Sunday Kyom Hayab, said that the prayer summit is aimed at correcting some perceived misconceptions about people given traditional titles because of some of the rituals performed.
He said that the summit is also an avenue to pray for Nigeria as it celebrate its independence which is a moral obligation on all patriotic people.
He called on Nigerian leaders to rededicate themselves to God for the nation to be healed adding that the nation is suffering amidst plenty of human and natural resources.
Also speaking, Hon Monday Tella, reminisced on when the prayer summit was introduced stating they felt the need to call on the people of Ham especially the clergy to bring God in their dealings.
He said that ” in 2015-2016, we had a meeting in the government house on why the Ham remained the most peaceful despite the various crisis occuring in the southern parts of Kaduna State.”
“The last administration tried to imitate what we have in the land of Ham,” he added.
Monday Tella also took a swipe at the last administration in Kaduna State for it unfriendly posture towards the people of southern Kaduna State, adding that some unfriendly statements were made against the people of that area by the last administration.
While praising the present administration for its people friendly nature, especially to the people of southern Kaduna State, Monday Tella said that what the present administration is doing without compulsion has endeared it to the people of the zone, hence the massive support.
He praised the paramount ruler of the Ham people for his forthright leadership.
On his part, the national president of HamDa, Rev Jerry Andrew, said that the prayer summit is to appreciate the Almighty God for his many blessings as well as present pressing problems to him in order to have a reprieve.
He praised the effort of the organizers in Kaduna State as the number of participants was more than previous summits.
He called on all Ham people of voting age to come out especially the youths to come out and register so that they can obtain their voters card.
He added that they will use all platforms available to the association nationally to encourage all Ham people to come out and register.
The prayer summit is a yearly activity which attract all Ham people to come out and pray the growth and well-being of their land and people.
This year’s summit witnessed a high number of people from within and outside Kaduna State.
