Governor Uba Sani has launched the Kaduna State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (KADSEMSAS) — a landmark initiative aimed at delivering swift, life-saving responses to emergencies across the state.

Speaking at the Dora Miller Secretariat Complex, Ministry of Health, the Governor described the program as “a bold declaration of our commitment to safeguarding every life in Kaduna State.”

KADSEMSAS features a fleet of fully equipped ambulances, a 24-hour emergency call and dispatch centre, and a dedicated team of trained medical professionals ready to respond to crises ranging from accidents to childbirth complications. Through the State Rural Emergency Ambulance and Medical Services (SREAMS), the system will also extend to rural communities.

Governor Sani emphasized that the initiative is part of broader reforms to make healthcare “a right, not a privilege.” His administration has also revitalized primary healthcare centres, strengthened KADCHMA to expand health insurance for the poor, and implemented the 2024 CONMESS and CONHESS salary structures to improve workers’ welfare.

“No one will be left behind — whether a farmer in Ikara, a trader in Kachia, a student in Giwa, or a child in Kagarko,” the Governor affirmed.

The Governor described KADSEMSAS as a symbol of leadership rooted in empathy, evidence, and decisive action, marking another step toward a resilient and equitable healthcare system in Kaduna State.
