The Federal Government has outlined a six-point plan with timelines to implement the “Nigeria First” policy, which aims to promote local industries and economic growth.

  1. Put Nigerian-made products first whenever the government is buying anything.
  2. Track how well this is working every quarter using a public dashboard (starting early 2026).
  3. Make sure people trust local products by improving quality and how they’re sold.
  4. Give manufacturers better access to long-term funding so they can grow.
  5. Fix power and transport issues by giving industries steady electricity and better logistics.
  6. Invest in people and safety, especially by training workers and making supply chains safer.
