We must not be overly anxious about the unfolding events in the political arena, for the truth is gradually revealing itself. The most heartbreaking reality, however, is that some among us have grown too accustomed to the chains of mental and political slavery a slavery that has bound their thoughts, crippled their will, and silenced their courage.
Southern Kaduna is a land abundantly blessed rich in people, culture, and resources. Yet, it bleeds under the weight of artificial hardship and man-made poverty. These conditions did not occur by accident; they were carefully designed to divide the people, create a hierarchy of dependence, and subject many to a perpetual hand-to-mouth existence.
But the architects of this oppression should know that time is no longer on their side. The Southern Kaduna of today is not hidden behind the walls of silence it is a voice echoing across the world, a consciousness awakening in the hearts of its people.
What we need now is unity of purpose to keep enlightening ourselves, raising awareness, and refusing to be subdued by fear or false promises. Freedom is not a matter of if but when, for no chain of injustice lasts forever. The dawn of liberation is near, and when it comes, Southern Kaduna shall rise stronger, wiser, and freer than ever before.
As Steve Biko once said, “The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.” The journey to freedom begins when we reclaim our minds, our courage, and our collective will to rise.
