Former Kano State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Mohammed Garba, has issued a bold statement dismissing the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition as a weak and confused alliance that lacks the vision, structure, and discipline to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Speaking with Dan’uwa Rano TV in Kano, Garba described the ADC coalition as “a gathering of political drifters without a compass or conviction.” According to him, the so-called coalition is driven by frustration and personal ambition rather than ideology or service to the people.
“The ADC coalition is a political illusion that exists only on paper,” Garba said. “Most of those claiming to have formed it are still deeply rooted in the PDP. They cannot even leave their former party completely, yet they talk about forming a national movement. It’s laughable.”
Garba emphasized that the results of recent elections in Nigeria clearly show that ADC remains irrelevant in national politics.
“In every election where ADC contested, the outcome was the same – defeat,” he stated. “They couldn’t even come close to the top three in most constituencies. A party that cannot win at the grassroots cannot dream of ruling Nigeria.”
He added that ADC has no single elected governor, senator, or major office holder, calling it “a structureless platform being used by failed politicians seeking attention.”
“You cannot build a serious political force on indecision and fear,” he said. “While APC continues to lead and deliver across all sectors, ADC remains a name without meaning.”
Garba praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) for maintaining stability, unity, and progress under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as “a visionary leader who has shown courage where others showed confusion.”
“The APC has remained strong because it is built on structure, strategy, and leadership,” Garba said. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is restoring discipline and direction to governance. Nigerians can already see his reforms beginning to yield results.”
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, Garba confidently predicted that the APC will record another landslide victory.
“The 2027 election will be between APC and PDP, but the outcome is already clear — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC will win again, Insha Allah. Nigerians will not trade progress for empty promises.”
He urged the opposition to stop chasing illusions and focus on meaningful contributions to national development instead of “forming alliances that collapse before they even start.”
“Politics is not noise-making; it is vision, courage, and delivery,” Garba concluded. “Under President Tinubu and the APC, Nigeria is on the path to greatness – and that journey will continue beyond 2027, God willing.”
