A CALL FOR INCLUSION THE URGENT NEED TO RECONSTRUCT THE KAFANCHAN–KAGOMA–KWOI ROAD

The recent approval by the Kaduna State Executive Council, chaired by His Excellency Governor Uba Sani, for the award of contracts for critical road projects across the state is a commendable and strategic step toward transforming Kaduna’s infrastructure landscape. The inclusion of township roads in Chikun, Jaba, Igabi, Lere, Makarfi, and Kachia LGAs underscores a welcome commitment to equitable development.

However, one key corridor remains conspicuously absent: the Kafanchan–Kagoma–Kwoi Road.

This vital link connects communities in Jema’a, Jaba, and Kaura LGAs—regions rich in human capital, agrarian potential, and educational significance. The road serves as the economic and social lifeline for thousands who rely on it daily for access to markets, schools, hospitals, and inter-community ties.

Years of neglect have rendered this route nearly impassable in certain stretches, especially during the rainy season. The current state of disrepair not only undermines the safety and dignity of commuters but also hampers economic productivity and access to government services. It isolates communities that have long felt left behind, despite their loyalty, resilience, and contributions to the peace and development of the state.

As Governor Uba Sani’s administration continues to prioritize infrastructure as a driver of growth and inclusivity, we respectfully urge him to extend that vision to the Kafanchan–Kagoma–Kwoi Road. The road is not just a connection between towns it is a pathway to economic revival, social cohesion, and restored confidence in government.

We believe that the inclusion of this road in the next phase of projects will be a bold demonstration that no community is too far, too small, or too forgotten to benefit from purposeful governance. It would also send a powerful message of unity, equity, and development without bias.

This is not just an appeal it is a call for recognition, for inclusion, and for justice.

Let the people of Southern Kaduna also feel the tangible impact of this administration. Let their roads speak of hope. Let the Kafanchan–Kagoma–Kwoi corridor rise again.

Concerned Citizen of Jema’a,
Kaduna State.
