The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), led by its Executive Chairman, Comrade. Jerry Adams , on Tuesday, has sought for the support of the Federal Ministry of Interior to strengthen institutional collaboration on expatriate data sharing and revenue generation.

The meeting, held at the Old Secretariat, Area 1, Garki, Abuja, yesterday ,was hosted by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo who was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, alongside senior officials of the Ministry.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Adams stressed that collaboration between both institutions would promote transparency, improve operational efficiency, and enhance sustainable revenue generation for the state.

The Revenue Boss further emphasized the need to establish effective data-sharing mechanisms for expatriates operating in Kaduna State, in line with national regulatory frameworks. He also sought the Ministry’s support in ensuring the remittance of Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) taxes deducted from officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service between January and August 2025 to KADIRS.

In her response, the Permanent Secretary pledged the Ministry’s support and collaboration with KADIRS in accordance with extant laws. She also announced the establishment of a joint technical committee comprising officials from both institutions to develop a standardized data template for release. On the issue of para-military PAYE remittance, the Permanent Secretary stated that the Ministry would communicate with all relevant agencies to ensure seamless compliance.

Additionally, the Ministry announced the inclusion of KADIRS in statewide inspections of companies employing expatriates in Kaduna. This initiative is expected to provide KADIRS with firsthand in
